Company History
Celtic Building Co. Inc. was established in 1986 as a NC corporation that specialized in single family design and construction. In 1995 Celtic diversified into land development and speculative building. We have completed two developments and are currently working on three more. We have always been a small volume builder with a maximum of three homes simultaneously. We have completed over 70 homes since 1986 in Watauga, Avery and Ashe counties. Approximately half of Celtic’s schedule is generated by custom work and the other half is generated by spec building. We always enjoy the relationships that evolve over the construction process- some of our best friends are also past clients! In 2004 Celtic added the real estate arm of Keltico Realty to market and sell Celtic properties.
Founders & Principals
Celtic was founded by Kevin Donovan in 1986 after spending several years learning the construction trades with other contractors. The company continues to be run by Kevin with the help of his talented wife Jennie. They have two grown children, Katie and Eric.
