To facilitate the complex construction process, Celtic Building Co. Inc. offers a design/build service that can save time and money!

By performing the drafting and design work in-house, Celtic Bldg. Co. Inc. can actually save on construction costs by utilizing efficient layouts and using cost effective materials and methods. Site adaptation plays a pivotal role in the relationship and we pride ourselves in marrying home to site.

As President of Celtic Bldg. Co. Inc., I take personal responsibility for the design phase of the construction process. My educational background includes a Batchelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University, with a major in Industrial Technology. My coursework included extensive training in architectural drafting and design, the study of art and architecture, and modern woodworking techniques.

Typically, I will do the conceptual work and then turn the working drawings over to an intern. I also work closely with several architects and their advice and input can be invaluable to a project.

Currently, I keep abreast of new innovations in the field, by reading several trade journals, attending classes , and participating on the Board of Directors of the High Country Home Builders Association which is the local chapter of the National Association of Homebuilders.

Client input at the design phase is critical, because the home is an extension of you and your life. We strive to make your home unique to your lifesyle, while keeping costs in line. What special space requirements do you have for your furniture? What size home do you want and need? How much are you willing to spend for your home? What are the most important rooms to you? What ideas do you have for your home? (sketches, plans, photos, articles, magazine cutouts) These are all questions we will go over at our preliminary consultation.

The conceptual work is an exciting process for it is the birth of ideas that will one day turn your dreams to beams! This is a team process and I sincerely look forward to working with you.
